While doctors have gained advance in medical science, they have yet to discover the "root cause" of arthritis and other diseases. Learn what the Bible has to say about healing these diseases and find His antidote.
Despite advances in surgical procedures and healing practices in general, doctors do not really know the “root causes” of most illnesses -- predominant of which is found arthritis. Patients are told they have the illness and what to take to get possible relief, but doctors seem in a fog about finding the root causes of arthritis -- or any other disease including cancer. They concentrate on the symptoms but not the root causes.
However, the Bible has much to say about the subject. To find the root causes of arthritis, one only needs to look for appropriate Scriptures pertaining to the bones in the body.
Most common root causes of arthritis include: envy/jealousy, fear, shame, confusion, rejection, sadness or depression, a sharp tongue, strife, contention, unforgiveness and bitterness among others. These root causes of arthritis always have existed. However, today arthritis continues to grow more than any other time in history with no sign of abating.
Yet, the cure is evidently is found in reversing the responses in the human experience. This comes through Divine intervention and empowering. For many, only by drawing closer to God and asking for His Wisdom and the power of the Holy Spirit can they hope to overcome the devastating results of disease in the body.
Let us further examine what the Bible says about the roots causes of arthritis and the appropriate antidotes.
1- A Sharp Tongue: Proverbs 16:24
Well ordered words are as a honeycomb: sweet to the soul, and health to the bones. Some versions read, “a pleasant or wholesome tongue”
Antidote: Practice saying kind words; asking God to give you words to bring healing and comfort to others instead of killing them with your tongue.
2- Strife, contention, bitterness and unforgiveness: Psalm 31:10
"For my life is spent with sorrow, my years with sighing. My strength fails because of my iniquity [guilt]. My bones are wasted away."
Antidote: Learn to “chill-out” and to respond to situations; not to react. Stop holding grudges and ask God to forgive you for holding them -- regardless of who is at fault. Stay away from silly arguments to prove whose opinion is right. Pray for those who make life miserable for you.
3- Envy, jealousy, shame or confusion: Proverbs: 12:4
"A wife of noble character is her husband's crown, but a disgraceful wife is like decay in his bones." [One version reads, “cancer in the bones.”]
Antidote: Asking God to bring you the appropriate spouse, male or female, into your life. Get His choice and not necessarily yours.
4- Fear, rejection: Job 4:14
"Dread came upon me, and trembling, And made all my bones shake."
Antidote: Developing a trust in God for His protection and eternal love which will never leave you nor reject you.
5- Depression and sadness: Proverbs 17:22
A joyful heart promoteth healing; but a broken spirit drieth up the bones.
Antidote: Stay away as much as possible from things which promote unrest, fear or sadness such as staying glued to news reports, soap operas, etc.
Alright, there you have it! And now you know why few doctors will ever get to the root causes of arthritis. They are all too many and have nothing to do with medications, proper foods or exercise. All originate at the heart and soul of human experience. And that my friends is something only God can help us with.
